Congratulations to Hannah Rust, a 2009 GMS graduate, on receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Delaware. Hannah had a great career as a pitcher at GMS and pitched her first win for Delaware on Feb. 11 (yes, they really did play on Feb. 11!). Hannah was named the Colonial Athletic Conference Pitcher of the week for her efforts in a 2-1 win over Presbyterian. http://www.bluehens.com/teams/softball/stories/2012/february/021512a.html
Since GMS first opened its doors in 1928, 840 students have passed through those doors and have scattered to the uttermost parts of the world. Eighty years later, in 2008, GMS alumni can be found on five continents, 13 countries, one Canadian province, and 34 states. They come from very diverse social, economic, and religious backgrounds with virtually every Protestant denomination represented. Many have furthered their education and have become teachers, missionaries, professors, airline pilots, engineers, business men, doctors, aircraft mechanics, farmers, lawyers, nurses, artists, journalists, social workers, etc.
